Description
Reporting to the Senior Associate Registrar, the Part-Time Clerk provides friendly, high-quality clerical support to on- and off-campus customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversees inventories of office supplies and vendor contacts; places orders as needed.
- Oversees inter-office processes for work orders, mailings, and purchasing.
- Provides assistance with office phone calls and emails.
- Scans and indexes student records.
- Assists with compiling and maintaining office procedure guides.
- Reviews and reconciles data reports as directed.
- May perform other duties not specifically identified above, but which require the same degree of skills, and which are normally included within the above job title.

Qualifications
- This position requires the ability and willingness to handle data entry and heavy phone and email contact with students, alumni, faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise good judgement.
- Basic skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Salary/Salary Range
$16.49 per hour

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions.
