About the Role

SWIFT is seeking a talented enterprise level DevOps Platform Engineer to expand our CI/CD Engineering team. This includes working day-to-day directly with software developers across the company to improve their infrastructure and software deployment capabilities and increase their deployment frequency. Scripting and Automation experience is a critical requirement for the position. Past experience as a Software Developer or Linux System Administrator is an asset.

Successful candidates must have the ability to thrive in a culturally diverse, truly global, distributed agile environment. Adherence to established development, change management and release management processes is critical.

What to expect:

You will:
  • Manage, secure, expand and support our Ansible Automation Platform in our development, test and productions environments.
  • Manage, secure, expand and support our Nexus Repository Manager infrastructure in our development, test and productions environments.
  • Onboard developers & teams to our Git-based deployment framework, and follow-up with them to resolve technical issues and offer guidance.
  • Continuously enhance, through automation and industry best-practices, our Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment capabilities.
  • Participate in Design Review meetings, Code Review meetings.
  • Conduct training and information sharing sessions towards our internal customers
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, in particular related to Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployments.
What will make you successful?
Technical skills & knowledge
  • 1 year of experience in Shell and Python in critical live environments
  • Working knowledge of the Linux Operating System (RHEL in particular), the Linux Shell and tools, TCP/IP networking, storage management, and security
  • Experience in integrating solutions troughs REST APIs
  • Practical experience with podman (preferred) or docker, and the ability to operate on containers in a RHEL environment
  • Ability to parse, query, update, JSON documents
  • 1 year of experience in Ansible playbook/role development for the deployment and configuration of infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools, in particular Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible Automation Platform
Would be a plus:
  • Experience writing Jenkins scripted and/or declarative pipelines.
  • Awareness of major development ecosystems such as Maven, Gradle, node.js, C++
  • Experience with AWS/cloud, infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience with containerization, Kubernetes

Education
University degree in computer science or related field.

Experience
1-3 years experience in DevOps supporting CI/CD tool chain
