Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.About the RoleInspect and repair welds (as needed) to ensure quality parts, on time, the first time to meet or exceed our customer requirements, while supporting the Magna Employee's Charter and the policies and procedures of BGM.Your Responsibilities Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies. Follows and supports and Magna's operating principles. Responsible for visual inspection (and repairs if needed) of all welds and weld quality. Perform minor repairs/adjustments to mig welders. Maintain integrity of weld quality to ensure finished product meets BGM standards. Maintain proper documentation of scrap and rework product. Follow Standard Operating Procedures established for each work station. Maintain integrity of quality to ensure finished product meets BGM standards, to include the changing of weld tips, wire spools, and cleaning of nozzles to ensure efficiency of weld robots. Maintain proper documentation of production. Perform other duties as required.(This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position. Must be able to detect and repair (within cycle times) all weld defects within your zone Understanding of weld terminologyThese qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position.
