American Commercial Barge Line is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Infrastructure and Operations to lead our IT team. The Director will be responsible for managing and optimizing our technical infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations of servers, networks, and systems. This role will play a crucial part in supporting our business functions while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance.

What you will be doing... YourIMPACT

  • Manage the hiring, development, and performance of Team Members.
  • Manages the upgrade roadmap and capacity planning for data center, cloud computing, and operations including all servers, network gear, and telecommunications systems.
  • Directs data and voice network groups on all aspects of data and voice communications.
  • Responsible for Disaster Recovery policy, planning, and testing.
  • Manage hardware and software contracts and prepare project cost estimates.
  • Develop goals and standards for IT service delivery.
  • Supports all information security, compliance, and data protection obligations.
  • Plan and implement strategy to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
  • Provide OPEXPex and CAPEX oversight and cost management regarding IT Infrastructure.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to external vendors and lead vendor contract management.
What we are looking for...

You will need to have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of previous experience in IT with a focus on Infrastructure and building/leading teams to manage infrastructure is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to enforce quality improvement methodologies to improve business functions continuously
  • Plan activities to achieve company strategic goals
  • Analyze and present the cost effectiveness of proposed projects
  • Manage spending to achieve company financial goals.
