Position Summary

The Guest Representative is responsible forproviding attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests prior toarrival and throughout their stay, while maximizing suite revenue andoccupancy. The individual is alsoresponsible for all reservation and inquiry calls during their shift. They are expected to actively developsuperior service skills in working with clients, guests, and co-workers.

Position Type and Expected Hours ofWork

This position could be eitherfull-time or part-time. All full-time positions are benefit eligible. Thisposition must be flexible to work variable days of the week to include weekendsand holidays based on business needs.

Essential Job Functions
•Provideattentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival andthroughout their stay.
•Handlecheck-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
•Respondto all guests' requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents presented at thefront desk or through reservations in an attentive, courteous and efficientmanner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
•Answerall guest inquiries (i.e. hotel services and amenities, the area, etc.).
•Ensuredelivery of packages, mail and messages as needed to guests.
•Followall Hilton Garden Inn, Miami South Beach/Brand credit policies.
•Beaware of all rates, packages, and special promotions. Be familiar with all in house groups. Be aware of closed out and restricted dates.
•Obtainall necessary information when taking room reservations and follow rate quotingguidelines.
•Fullyunderstand and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the front deskcomputer system.
•Focuson his/her role in contributing to guest satisfaction surveys.
•Demonstrateappropriate phone skills.
•UseLexima/brand selling guidelines as part of the inquiry call process.
•Consistentlyperform above average in the mystery call process.
•Followup on all wait list reservations.
•Managesuite inventory.
•Completeshift responsibility checklist.
•Keepfront office area clean and organized.
•Complyat all times with Lexima/Brand compliance standards and regulations toencourage safe and efficient hotel operations
•Participatein all-employee meetings, events and other functions required by management.
•Befamiliar with all Hilton Garden Inn, Miami South Beach/Brand policies and hotel rules, as well as hotelterminology.
•Developfull understanding of hotel amenities and services.
•Understandemergency procedures and be prepared to help when necessary.
•Operateradios efficiently and professionally in communicating with the hotel staff.
•Ensurecorrect and accurate cash handling while at the front desk.
•Useproper radio etiquette when communicating with other employees.
•Performany other duties as requested by management.

Work Environment

This position will be located at ahotel and primarily work behind a desk and in public spaces.

Physical Requirements

The physical demandsdescribed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee withor without accommodation to successfully perform the essential functions ofthis job.
•Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands tohandle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climbstairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
•Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
•Specific vision abilities required by the jobinclude close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception, and the ability to adjust focus.
•Ability to stand during the entire 8-hourshift.

Travel

No travel is expected for thisposition. Travel for annual training and conferences may be required.

Required Education and Experience
•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•A degree with an emphasis in Hotel Management,Hospitality Management and/or related fields preferred.
•Previous hospitality experience preferred.
•Knowledge of accounting principles.
•Experience handling cash, accountingprocedures and general administrative tasks.
•Must have the ability to assimilate complexinformation and data from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify tomeet the constraints of the particular need.
•Must be effective in handling problems in theworkplace, including anticipation, preventing, identifying and solving problemsas necessary.
•Effective oral and written communicationskills.
•Must have a valid driver's license.
•Must be fluent in English.
