A typical day might include the following: Performing design calculations, preparing plans, and directing PS&E and schematic designs for TxDOT and local government projects. Using advanced techniques, theory, precepts, and practices. Interacting with task leaders, team members, clients, and other consultants. Exercising judgment in independently evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Mentoring direct reports, and conveying knowledge to others Team lunches/breakfasts and social activities “MUST HAVE” QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering Licensed as a Professional Engineer 5+ years of experience with MicroStation, Geopak (or Open Roads) and TxDOT procedures Effective communication skills to engage with other employee-owners. Experience with structural governing codes and specifications such as AASHTO LRFD, ACI, AISC, or IBC.
