Job Overview The **Financial Analyst** is responsible for financial planning, analysis and reporting support for the Retail Stores business unit. The ideal candidate will serve as a finance business partner for the Retail Finance and Retail Operations teams including Regional Directors and District Managers to evaluate and identify opportunities that enhance the company’s profitability and facilitate smooth store financial operations. They will possess strong analytical and communication skills, acting as the bridge between Corporate Finance and Retail Operations. **Responsibilities:** + Develop and maintain various ad-hoc analysis and financial models to support the business + Daily Sales monitoring and tracking against key performance and financial metrics + Maintain and support store labor forecasting and reporting including wage analysis + Monitor store labor actuals vs forecast and provide variance explanations + Perform product level analysis to identify trends related to sales and product margin + Assist in the development of financial budgets and forecasts for the Retail Stores division, adhering to corporate timelines + Act as the department administrator of store sales software system (SkyIT) + Partner with the leaders of Retail Operations to capture fiscal implications of store execution decisions + Provide actionable reporting to Regional Sales Directors and District Managers + Enhance, maintain, and distribute weekly sales and operational performance metrics of the retail stores **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Finance/related field or equivalent experience + 2 plus years of related Finance experience, preferably within a division of a CPG or Retail organization + Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and present ideas formally and informally + Solid analytical skills with the ability to relate complex financial items to appropriate stakeholders in a meaningful manner + The ability to prioritize, multi-task and pro-actively manage multiple, often competing priorities, with diplomacy and tact + A bias for detail-orientation, with a solid work ethic and unquestioned integrity + Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Skills, specifically Excel and Access data mining skills _ Newell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid®, Paper Mate®, Sharpie®, Dymo®, EXPO®, Parker®, Elmer’s®, Coleman®, Marmot®, Oster®, Sunbeam®, FoodSaver®, Mr. Coffee®, Rubbermaid Commercial Products®, Graco®, Baby Jogger®, NUK®, Calphalon®, Contigo®, First Alert®, Mapa®, Spontex® and Yankee Candle®.
