This position will be treating patients in Hickman, Benton, Humphreys, Lewis, Williamson, Maury, Dickson and Perry Counties.

Position Specific Responsibilities
  • Evaluates a patient's speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities to determine the nature and extent of the problem.
  • Administers therapy sessions to improve the patient's speech, language, cognition, or swallowing function. This may involve exercises, activities, and strategies to enhance communication and swallowing skills.
  • Teaches patients and their families or caregivers about the nature of the communication or swallowing disorder and provides guidance on how to facilitate improvement.
  • Works closely with other members of the healthcare team, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for the patient.
  • The SLP tracks the patient's progress over time, adjusting the treatment plan as needed to maximize the effectiveness of therapy.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a home health setting required.
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Active and unencumbered Speech Language Pathologist license in state(s) of employment required.
