Job Description Job Description Salary:Purpose :This position is responsible for evaluating the extent of property damage, providing a complete and thorough estimate of repairs including photos, diagrams, and the properly signed authorizations and/or contracts. Additionally, assists in negotiations of contract amounts. This position is based in Atlanta, GA.Essential Job FunctionsEvaluate and appropriately report the full extent of the damagePrepare scope of repairs including demolition, reconstruction, emergency services, and contents restorationAccurately estimate the quality of materials being replacedOrganize the introductory meeting between the Customer and Construction SuperintendentAssist the Operations and Customer Care Departments in problem resolutionAssist the Superintendent and Project Manager in getting the project startedFlexibility to react to emergencies after-hours and on the weekendsMake every effort possible to obtain signed authorizations/contracts before sending the project to OperationsMaintain and build business relationships with clients and departments within EPICAssist project managers with creating/developing proper budgets for each projectProvide any necessary instructions to the emergency service and construction department in writing before they commence workEducational RequirementsHigh School DiplomaA college education is a plusWork Experience RequiredExtensive knowledge and experience in producing estimates in XactimateFive years as an estimator in the restoration industrySuccessfully completed IICRC Water, Fire, and Odor Control classesBroad knowledge of the construction processTechnical Skills/AbilitiesDemonstrate moderate to advanced computer expertise (Mac knowledge is a plus)Proficiency using XactimatePhysical RequirementsMaintain a well-groomed, neat, and clean appearanceAbility to be in extreme outdoor temperatures for extended periods of timeAbility to lift 50 lbs.Ability to work on ladders and roofs in excess of one storyPersonal AttributesStrong verbal and written communication skillsTime management skills and ability to meet deadlinesThinking outside the boxProblem SolverQuick thinking, able to make sound decisionsFlexibility#J-18808-Ljbffr
