WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced, qualified Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant role is suited for the individual seeking opportunity for growth and development. To be successful in this role, this person should possess the ability to conduct a wide variety of intricate and complex accounting duties and projects. An ideal candidate for this role should have excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skills, and the ability to create and maintain a team-oriented environment. The Senior Accountant should also possess the ability to review and analyze current processes for potential improvements and meet timeliness in completing assignments with deadlines and due dates and have strong integrity and ethics. This position is responsible for account reconciliations, general ledger management, fixed asset management, balance sheet preparation and maintenance. Must be a self-motivated, reliable individual interested in joining our rapidly growing organization.

WHO YOU ARE

The Senior Accountant will:
•Assist in managing the month-end close process
•Support monthly and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and accruals
•Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances including bank reconciliations
•Prepare Fixed Asset reconciliations and managing Construction in Progress
•Assist in maintaining the general ledger
•Be responsible for preparing sales tax work papers and submissions monthly
•Participate in financial planning and budgeting
•Create ad hoc reports based on the accounting software as requested
•Assist in special projects as requested
•Respond to information requests and assisting with audits
•Have the ability to handle all confidential or proprietary information with proper consideration of ethical and legal ramification

QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
•5+ years of senior level accounting experience
•Familiarity with accounting and finance principles and procedures
•Excellent organizational and analytical skills and the ability to multi-task
•Strong knowledge and proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Sage 300 and/or Adaptive is a plus
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Can safeguard company information by observing company security regulations
•Be a catalyst for continuous improvement by making recommendations based on empirical data and business experience
