Located in Wyoming, MI, our plant is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic to play a vital role in identifying and preventing issues, ensuring the safety of our employees and products. This on-site role offers a starting hourly pay rate of $38.34, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus . You'll be part of a dedicated team focused on safety and continuous improvement, working night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM with a 3-day weekend every other weekend. This position is exciting because it provides opportunities to enhance your expertise in programmable logic controllers, engage in innovative problem-solving, and contribute to a safer, more efficient workplace. You'll also have the chance to work closely with leadership and participate in stretch projects that drive plant efficiency and cost savings. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing Maintaining Equipment and Enhancing PLC Knowledge: Alternate between troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-the-spot machine repair. Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions: Identify and examine production equipment failures to understand root causes, interpreting schematics and drawings. Prioritizing Innovation and Communication: Actively seek ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings, maintaining open communication with your lead and supervisor. We’re Looking for Someone With High School diploma or GED Journeyman’s or 4 years of equivalent experience Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Sitting, standing, walking, lifting (50 lbs.), and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day Previous experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing setting Experience in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems What’s Next Applications for this position will be accepted through February 13th, 2025.
