The Opportunity:

As a defense mission professional, you'll serve as the Logistics Management Lead and oversee process, QA/QC, planning, procurement, tracking, fielding, kitting, storage, and sustainment of inventory/equipment. You'll bring your advanced consulting,analytical, strategic, tactical, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge asyou lead a team on projects for the DoD. You'll maintain responsibility for the development, coordination, and execution of internal logistics and sustainment plans in the areas of supply, maintenance, transportation, equipment authorization, and property accountability, as well as oversee property accountability of assigned equipment.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Work without considerable direction.
  • Develop, implement, and manage supply chain streams and solutions.
  • Oversee product acquisition.
  • Direct the allocation of materials, supplies, and products.
  • Forecast and direct the alignment of a product's demand and supply flows.
  • Monitor and manage product risk.
  • Manage business systems, including their selection and implementation.
  • Review logistical functions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison between an organization and its suppliers or customers.
  • Propose strategies to minimize costs or time required to deliver goods.

As a Logistician, you will oversee activities related to purchasing, transportation, inventory, and warehousing and asset management. You will organize and direct the movement of goods, people, and equipment, including manufacturing components, GFE/GFP/GFM GOTs or COTs, and DoD POR/non-POR standard and non-standard equipment and supplies. You will choose, integrate, and implement software for systems that help plan and track product movement and manage organizational data and administrative functions, such as for procurement. You'll also have other duties, such as training and managing clerical staff.

You'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, andwe'll look to you to bring in-depth understanding and expertise to one or more aspects of service or joint missions, processes, and culture.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Infrastructure Planning, Asset Management and Data
  • 3+ years of experience with the DoD
  • Experience with life cycle logistics, supply chain management, process improvement planning, asset management and project management
  • Experience with preparing presentations, briefs, or bullet background papers (BBPs) for senior leadership
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office, including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FAR) compliance
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified Professional for Distribution and Warehousing (CPDW), or Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
