Summary A leading IPP is looking for a talented Senior Project Engineer to support their utility scale solar and other renewable energy projects This role will oversee all engineering activities related to the design of utility-scale renewables projects (wind, solar, energy storage) across the US and Canada. Additionally, they will oversee outside engineering firms, subcontractors, and various engineering disciplines (electrical, civil, structural, etc.) to ensure all deliverables meet project specifications. If you are passionate about renewables and a hard worker, this could be the team for you Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Provide technical input throughout all project stages, from feasibility to detailed design. Coordinate engineering design efforts with external partners to review and comment on design submittals. Manage external engineering firms, subcontractors, and various engineering disciplines to ensure project deliverables meet specifications. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements. Monitor contractors' progress and key project milestones. Coordinate internally with development, engineering, permitting, GIS, and land groups. Assist in procurement processes, including running RFPs and managing subcontractors. Stay updated on new technologies, regulatory conditions, industry best practices, and safety standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with coursework in civil or electrical engineering, or equivalent technical knowledge through work experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience managing renewable energy projects and producing standards, specifications, and documentation. Experience and understanding of the owner's engineer role, technical due diligence, and commercial contracts and negotiations.
