North Harbour Ford and Mazda’s Silverdale branch is looking for a motivated, career drivenWorkshop Controller/Foreman. With the Automotive Industry in its biggest transformation period seen in years, this critical role, in liaison with the Service Manager, will require you to supervise a great team of Technicians and Apprentices in our busy service department. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will: Provide support to the Service Manager assisting with co-ordinating day-to-day operations Maintain an even flow of work and maximise time efficiency in the workshop Monitor the quality of all work performed in the workshop Be prepared to get hands-on repairing vehicles when needed Establish and maintain good working relationships with all departments Deliver an exceptional customer experience The successful applicant will be able to display the following attributes: Previous experience as a Workshop Controller and/or Senior Technician Mechanical Trade Qualification WOF Certification Full clean NZ drivers licence Have a passion for developing apprentices and technicians Strong interpersonal and communication skills Calm under pressure and enjoys a challenge Organised, efficient and methodical with an aptitude for identifying opportunities for improving performance Sound computer literacy In return, we offer: A competitive remuneration package relevant to your qualifications and experience, with the opportunity to earn incentives of up to an extra $8000 per annum 45 hours per week , with overtime and Saturday work available at times Full training on the manufacturers systems Upskilling and access to the latest product repair information and technology Opportunity for career progressionwithin the largest automotive group in Australasia Eagers Automotive Maternity support scheme Discounted Southern Cross Health Insurance for yourself and your whánau, access to Telus Health Employee Assistance Program Staff discounts across all automotive products - new and used vehicles, parts, service and tyres.
