Job Responsibilities:

·Support the administrative functions of a Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, including initial eligibility determination, voucher issuance, leasing, rent reasonable determination, compliance and annual recertification of participant eligibility. ·Assist in

determining/calculating

Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) ·Ensure program compliance with federal law, applicable HUD regulations, Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan, and special requirements and commitments made in applications for HCV Program vouchers and other Housing Choice Voucher subsidies. ·Provide support, information and assistance to the Housing Choice Voucher Program Director regarding the Housing Choice Voucher program; assist in the formulation and development of policies and procedures relating to the program.Oversee review and revision of HCV payment standards and utility allowances.Support the ongoing review and updating of the Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan, and Housing Choice Voucher Procedures Manual. ·Continually evaluate and work to reduce access barriers for individuals with disabilities in issuance process.Coordinate with social service agencies and give direction to staff in providing reasonable accommodation to remove barriers to access for individuals with disabilities ·As needed, communicate with HUD,

interdepartmentally

with other Administrators, personnel and outside organizations to coordinate activities and programs, resolve issues and conflicts, and exchange information. ·Provide overall program administrative support to ensure achievement of SHA goals for voucher utilization, de-concentration of poverty, and other Housing Choice Voucher program goals. ·Other duties as assigned

Job Details:

·Payrate: $28/hr. ·Temp-to-hire opportunity ·Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm (Monday – Friday) ·100% onsite – Renton, WA

Candidate Requirements:

3-5 years of progressively responsible rental assistance or program support experience, is preferred. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Community Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of local and federal subsidized housing programs, including public housing and Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance programs is preferred. Applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures specific to Housing Choice Voucher programs. Knowledge of Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. Best practices for exceptional customer service. Ability to interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. Ability to work independently with minimum direction. Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills. Tech savvy within Microsoft Office suite (with the ability to learn program participant databases) Work respectfully and courteously with staff, residents, and the general public.
