Position Summary: ITW Residential & Renovation division is seeking a

Manufacturing Engineer

to support the Pocahontas, AR facility (relocationavailable)to provide technical leadership, direction and engineering support for the safe manufacturing of high-volume nails, which meet or exceed quality requirements and business goals and objectives. Manages directly or indirectly 5 to 12 hourly maintenance workers, who install, maintain, and repair production and ancillary machines, equipment and systems within the plant. Serves as a member of and provides support to ad-hoc project teams, and other cross-functional teams on manufacturing projects. The Manufacturing Engineer Is responsible for continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for collecting and reviewing production data from production cells to ensure implemented process improvements are sustained. Research, develop, and implement measurable process improvements and cost reduction strategies within specified time frames. Identify and support production quality processes and procedures to increase production throughput and eliminate impact to the customer Participate, lead and facilitate kaizen events to improve internal LEAN manufacturing processes to increase production's efficiency and quality Train production operators on lean principles and manufacturing processes to increase production's efficiency and quality Work with Cross-Functional teams in the planning and designing of new products to ensure new products are designed for manufacturability Research and review industry trends and technological advancements for products and processes. Ensure that the facility operates within all applicable legal, safety, and environmental requirements. Develop, document and maintain process plans and machine operating instructions. Maintain building and grounds. Identify, lead and develop talent in order to maximize individual, team and organizational effectiveness in meeting company goals. Perform various administrative responsibilities such as timely reporting, meetings, project management, developing safe work methods, interfacing with OSHA, EPA, emergency response teams, risk management and loss protection.
