**Description:**

There are 4 CNC Machinist openings on 2nd Shift - Second 2:45pm - 11pm M-F,. Three of the four openings are in the lathe department. We are searching for a CNC Machinists to set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC Machining Centers to ready machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. May assign personnel to various duties. The pay is $21-$26/hr. There is a $3/hr shift premium for 2nd and 3rd. They must be able to set up the machine from scratch and have experience doing fixture changes and basic preventative maintenance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies

Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes

Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices

Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools

Operates lift equipment as needed

Uses precision measuring tools as required

Ability to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if needed

Ability to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as required

Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspections

Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead

Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets

Must Haves

2 years of CNC Machinist experience with metals

Set up, Start up, and operate CNC Machines - both Mills and Lathes

Change out fixtures

Work with tooling
