Job Summary

Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse III to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and leadership to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to a diverse patient population, utilizing your advanced clinical skills and knowledge to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor department staff in areas of clinical and professional practice, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional healthcare teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans, prioritizing patient needs and preferences.
  • Participate in shared governance activities, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote patient safety and quality care.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities, including charge nurse duties, to ensure seamless patient care and unit operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Two years of nursing experience in a healthcare environment, with one year in the clinical field for which you will be working.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
  • Magnet - ANCC Recognized Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of improving patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and professional practice standards, with the ability to apply this knowledge to improve patient safety and quality care.
  • Strong assessment, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and role components.
