Description

The Manager/Director of Information Technology translates business needs into system requirements and drives delivery with ownership of the overall IT solution. Collaborates closely with Leadership Team throughout our Corporate Office, Travel Centers & convenience store locations to enhance existing technology systems and identify improvement opportunities that meet business demand and align with the goals and growth of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

•Identify technology needs and make recommendations to leadership team.

•Align IT needs with overall company strategic plan.

•Evaluate the company's adherence to federal technology requirements for security.

•Devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.

•Assist in the enforcement of policies and procedures as laid out in the support center handbook, security policy, and corporate SOP documents.

•Evaluate and develop technology solutions in conjunction with various corporate departments and store operations.

•Manage large scale IT initiative projects and consult on IT involvement in other department projects.

•Create and monitor the department budget & spending strategies. Attain purchasing discounts when possible.

•Oversee store level help desk and remote support operations of store technologies. Continually evaluate SLAs & effectiveness of support center operations.

•Oversee technical field support staff and inventory asset management and purchasing strategies.

•Negotiate and manage vendor contracts such as hosted services, consulting services and software maintenance agreements.

Requirements

Qualifications

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:

•Minimum ten (10) years of progressive IT experience and at least 6 years in an IT leadership role.

•Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.

•At least 2 years' experience in the quick serve or convenience store environment.

•Successful track record with multi-site, retail environment.

•Experience with Office 365

•Skilled with Microsoft server operating systems and Point of Sale software and equipment.

•Experience with SQL databases.

Competencies

•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

•Ability to exercise sound judgment.

•Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff.

•Excellent organization and time management skills.

Education

The position requires the following educational experience:

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

•Or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Work Environment

•Work is performed primarily inside a climate-controlled office space. (Frequently or occasionally) there will be travel and may work in an outdoor environment.
