Our client, a leading innovator in the transportation industry, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing Chassis Engineering team in Greensboro, NC. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing critical components for their industry-leading trucks, shaping the future of transportation. Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: Greensboro, NC Pay Range: $ 45-50/hr What's the Job? Take ownership of product and engineering responsibilities, delivering tasks independently within assigned chassis equipment function areas. Perform design activities from concept to production phase, supporting verification and validation activities, and managing corrective actions during design maturity stages. Complete engineering activities, including drawings, engineering change releases, and packaging verification, ensuring quality and delivery readiness. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate deliveries and prepare for design reviews, manufacturing, aftermarket, and quality tools. Support testing activities, prototype procurement, and develop plans for accelerated endurance testing of components and assemblies. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). 5 years of experience in product development within the transportation industry. Strong proficiency in CAD software (Creo-AVP) and knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience working with Class 8 heavy-duty trucks or heavy equipment is a plus. Understanding of the product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes. What's in it for me?
