Job summary

As an Automation Engineer, you will be interfacing with customers to meet their various custom specifications and working with the Electrical Engineering team to design and program PLC and HMI hardware.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design, implementation, testing, commissioning and evaluation of automation systems
  • Interact with internal staff and shop floor personnel, as required, in the performance of job responsibilities
  • Work with customer to finalize system design, controls package, and operator interface.
  • Complete Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test
  • Generating Bill of Materials
  • PLC Hardware design and drawings
  • Interfacing with customers to meet expectations
  • Provide expert technical advice on PLCs and HMIs to customers

Requirements:

  • Automation & Controls Engineering experience
  • PLC and HMI programming experience
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
