The HS&E facility coordinator is responsible for growing the HS&E awareness throughout all of Hunting's divisions. This position is responsible for all assigned duties by the HSE Manager including the overall administration, technical guidance, and leadership in complying, interpreting, and implementing all regulatory requirements regarding Health, Safety, and Environmental for the facility. The below items consist of responsibilities for the HS&E Coordinator but not limited to:Responsibilities•Develop, implement, and revise Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.•Perform and/or assist in required HS&E documented training for all personnel and contractors.•Conduct health, safety, and environmental facility inspections and audits.•Assists in maintaining all Health Safety and Environmental records, permits and reports as required by Federal, State(s), and Various Local Regulatory Agencies.•Aid and advise on HSE issues and make preventative solution recommendations to facility management.•Conduct interviews/investigations when an on-the-job injury occurs; provide first aid when necessary; transport employees to medical facilities when needed; ensure all necessary paperwork is received and completed correctly.•Alerts HS&E Manager immediately regarding any incident or potential HS&E issues.•Identify workplace hazards or unsafe working conditions and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken encouraging safe working practices.•Ensure that all Safety Data Sheets are available, up to date, and in compliance.•Ensure all containers of non-hazardous / hazardous materials are properly labeled, stored and/or disposed of.•Complete the required environmental storm water plan documents per the permit requirements.•Assist management in the creation of JSEA's (Job Safety Environmental Hazards) at the facility for all job-related activities and processes.•Manage and coordinate non-hazardous and hazardous waste disposal/pick-ups in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.Education & Experience Qualifications•Degree in HSE related field preferred•Minimum of 3+ years of experience in occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations•ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 experience preferred.•OSHA 501 and 511 preferred.Behavioral Competencies•Excellent communication (verbal and written), collaboration, and presentation skills.•Ability to multi-task under strict, deadline-oriented, and fast-paced working environments•Ability to engage at all levels of the organization.•Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Qualifications•In-depth knowledge of applicable HS&E laws and regulations including state, local and federal.•Experience with writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.•Must be willing to travel between multiple facilities within the Houston area.•Microsoft Office proficient•Certification in HS&E related fields to be provided if applicable.•First Aid, CPR certified preferred
