This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role involves managing staff, optimizing production processes, maintaining quality standards, and meeting production targets. The Plant Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve productivity and efficiency while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee execution and delivery of entire production process, ensuring that production goals and targets are met and within budget while maintaining a safe work environment.Lead, coach and mentor plant staff, including supervisors and production employees. Conduct performance appraisals; reward and discipline employees; address employee concerns and work to resolve problems.Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production.Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies to drive operational excellence.Assesses equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.Develop and manage the plant budget, including forecasting and controlling costs.Working knowledge of engineering standard practices that include drawing layout and GD&T. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to address product and process issues.Assures product and process quality and participates in the resolution of quality issues.Assists new product and/or process startups.
