Logistics Specialist Leidos currently has an opening for a Logistics Specialist located at Ft. Meade, MD. This will be an onsite position. Leidos is seeking qualified candidates to join our Defense Enclave Services team, who will support an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies. This position is a 9+ month temporary role with the potential to become a full-time role. Must hold an active Secret clearance. (US Citizenship required). Primary Responsibilities Maintains procedures for marking, handling, storage, preservation, packaging, and shipping to protect the quality of products and prevent damage, loss, deterioration, degradation, or substitution of products Supports refreshing hardware that has reached end-of-life Maintains and upgrades COTS software licenses as required by information assurance mandates, licensing agreements, or interoperability concerns Procures COTS hardware with embedded software, software licenses, maintenance agreements, or any combination of these items Enters all hardware, software license, and maintenance agreements that are purchased into a tracking system Coordinates release of equipment with proper authorization from a designated POC Ensures security and 100% property accountability of equipment Handles international shipments that fall under US Customs Regulations in accordance with the basic contract Coordinates all shipping with the Government for any special packaging for select systems Reports observed shortages, overages, incorrect items received, lost shipments, damaged items received, improper preservation, improper packaging, and/or improper marking for receipted shipments on Standard Form (SF) 364, Report of Discrepancy (ROD) Performs physical inventories of all GFE equipment. Coordinates shipping/receiving of equipment with CONUS and OCONUS managers. Coordinates the shipping and return of broken-down GFE covered under manufacturer warranty or other repair commitment to and from repair/replacement locations Maintains ability to generate reports on status of equipment to include location, repair status, shipping schedule, distribution, disposition, and other logistical-related functions Investigate best courses of action for the resolution of logistical problems, and advises these both verbally and in writing to program managers when called upon to do so Works with Leidos buyers and CHESS vendors to procure items for the government This hands-on role requires great attention to detail, very good organization skills and flexibility to pivot between highly visible customer priorities to meet deadlines Support the management of assets, governance and transition planning tools/repositories Support on-time, error-free development, inspection, approval and delivery of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL) and delivery letters to varying recipients Define, update SOPs and support the development and delivery of the Life-Cycle, Asset Management and Spare Parts plan, Asset Reports, documenting asset management and controls Segregate and protect Leidos sensitive data Interface with the customer, PMO, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) to coordinate asset management for on-time delivery Perform audits to validate asset accountability and reporting Scrub, transform, update, summarize or report data Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree and 4+ years of experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree Proven experience with logistics to include inventory, reporting, audits, warehousing, and spare parts Demonstrated experience with logistics information systems such as DPAS and preferably PIEE Experience operating in and managing warehouse functions Excellent attention to detail and organization skills Experience supporting asset management processes with large-scale programs with many baselines across architectures Data Management and process documentation experience Effective communicator, able to capture action items and status clearly and concisely Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities Work independently, engaging SMEs when needed, to drive work to closure on-time Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint, and Logistics Information Systems Preferred Qualifications DISA and/or DoD Experience Experience with DPAS, PIEE, and/or ServiceNow DISADES
