The HR Generalist will provide onsite HR support and guidance at the Spartanburg, SC location as well as lead various HR projects and initiatives for the broader RedSail business.

Key Duties

  • HR Process Improvement: Collaborate with the HR team to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. Participate in the design and implementation of new HR initiatives, such as performance management systems, employee engagement programs, or talent acquisition strategiesHandles onboarding of new hires
  • HRIS troubleshooting and backup/support to HR/Payroll admin.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Support the recruitment process by assisting with job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks. Assist in onboarding new hires by coordinating orientation sessions and ensuring completion of necessary paperwork
  • Project Coordination: Support HR leaders in planning, organizing, and executing HR projects. Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables. Monitor project progress and identify and address any issues or risks that may arise.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Any other duties as assigned by leadership.
Required Skills, Education & Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Two years of human resource experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Completion of specialized certification or training on FMLA/leave administration a plus.
