The Sr HRIS Analyst ensures the Human Capital Management (HCM), timekeeping System and other Human Resources information tools are developed, implemented, updated, and maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute functional expertise to the Workday product team via analysis, design, configuration, testing, debug and implementation of new features, workflows, and/or extend existing functionality.
  • Focus on delivering product enhancements and optimization of Workday processes to drive positive impacts to improve the employee experience and gain efficiencies byeliminating manual operations.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of Workday concepts and provide significant functional subject matter expertise in Core HCM, Talent Management, Advance Compensation.
  • Familiarity with Workdays security roles/permissions, and integration capabilities, including data imports and exports.
  • Hands-on with design, configuration, and maintenance of Workday business processes.
  • Maintain documentation related to Workday HCM business processes and configurations.
  • Actively involved in process and system optimization, finding opportunities in moving functionalities from manual/external systems into Workday; optimize out of the box functionalities, automation, and innovation.
  • Administer the Workday HCM system and implement configuration changes and new functionality where needed, release management, deployment, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the product owner and team, and stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to the product roadmap.
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex problems, ensuring the stability and reliability of the product.
  • Embrace and advocate for Agile and Scrum methodologies, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospective meetings.
  • Provide backup support to HRIS reporting and integration analysts as needed.
  • Serve as subject matter expert, staying abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and driving technical excellence within the team.
  • Mentors, coaches and trains HRIS Analysts I and II.
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • This position requires a minimum of five years progressive HRIS experience.
  • Previous experience with HCM systems required; Workday required. Should have had formal Workday training.
  • Experience with Time Tracking and Time Off in the capacity of an analyst, configurator, or technical lead role is a great plus.
  • One full implementation of Payroll module is a great plus.
  • Exposure to Workday native API/webservices such as Get Workers or Put Time Clock Events is a great plus.
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce, Paychex and Workday preferred.
  • Understanding of multiple software development life cycle methodologies is needed.
  • Advanced level computer experience, including skills in Microsoft Work, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, is necessary. Visio required.
  • The ability to create complex reports with Workday reporting tools is required.
  • Ability to identify complex problems, review information to develop and evaluate options then implement solutions is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and must be able to clearly articulate ideas both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical language is essential.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently is essential.
  • Customer service skills including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude is essential.
  • In addition, troubleshooting, organizational and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
  • Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding Company values is key.

Required Experience:

  • Proficiency in Workdays Advanced Compensation module, including configuration and implementation.
  • Experience in configuring compensation plans, eligibility rule, and compensation components within Workday.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to compensation processes in Workday.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, conducting compensation benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitiveness.
  • Knowledge of Workday reporting tools to generate compensation-related reports and analytics.

Educational Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in information technology, business or related field or equivalent experience. Advanced degree is beneficial.
