summary Immediate Openings for 1st & 2nd SHIFT TEMP TO HIRE Material Handlers at our Electrical Manufacturing Facility in Smyrna MONDAY - FRIDAY 1ST: $20/HOUR 6A TO 2:30P 2ND: $22/HOUR 3:30P TO 12A HIRE ON AFTER 120HOURS (3 WEEKS) WITH PAY INCREASE MATERIAL HANDLERS JOB FUNCTIONS: Material Handers Operate forklift truck (sit-down & stand-up) or hand truck for delivery or picking of parts and supplies. Ensures correct parts are kept in theappropriate quantitiesto support production and assembly requirements. Responsible for the continuous supply of materials to one or more production or assembly areas. May take parts from inventory area and ensures Water Spider is kept stocked at appropriate levels of inventory. Document material movement using computer tablets. Sorts and counts parts and supplies and logs inventory. Responsible for picking parts from Kanban or storage areas and placing the parts into a storage bin. required-skills: MATERIAL HANDLERS REQUIREMENTS: 6-12 Months of Forklift/Equipment operating experience. Basic Computer knowledge Ability to work independently or with a team. Ability to follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards. Ability to reach overhead,lift upto 35 pounds, and be on feet for long hours, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing repetitively. Ability to wear safety shoes and glasses the entirety of shift.
