Delivery Driver /Warehouse/Counter Sales Associate - Florence, KY

We seek a proven contributor to join our branch operations as a Delivery Driver /Warehouse/Counter Sales Associate. The ideal candidate is an energetic team player whose primary role will be delivering orders and interacting with customers. and can transition to the picking and packing of product orders, and the role of assisting customers at the counter. The candidate must be interested in innovating to solve business problems, be willing to immediately tackle key challenges, and thrive in a customer service/sales environment.
Hours: Available to work between the hours of 7:30 - 5:00 pm / Monday - Friday and rotating Saturdays 8:00 - 12:00 noon (*will receive a 1/2 day off during the week when scheduled to work on Saturday)
Summary of Job: Responsible for delivering products to customers and being the face of Wiseway to customers; including loading and unloading products. This position requires work in the warehouse; picking/packing of product-based or orders received. You may also assist customers in person and over the phone, entering orders in the Solar/Eclipse system, reviewing/selecting orders, and ensuring customers' needs are met professionally and courteously. Knowledge of residential, construction, and commercial plumbing products is a plus. Responsible for providing excellent customer service to all customers by providing the right material, quantity, and promptly.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license and verified safe driving record
- Work in a warehouse setting; some outdoor exposure during the workday; temperature is not controlled
- Required to stand and walk for long periods.
- Must be able to regularly lift and move objects up to 70 pounds
- Must be able to push/pull pallet jack or cart weighing up to 350 lbs.
- Able to perform repetitive motions of bending, squatting, stooping, and standing; including the motion of placing and removing the product from shelves, stabilizing on the mode of delivery, or carrying by hand.
- Ability to perform light driving/delivery duties via company truck; perform repeated motions of bending, squatting, stooping, and standing; including motion of getting in and out of the truck from the driver seat, removing the product from the truck, stabilizing on the mode of delivery via two-wheel dolly or carrying by hand.
- The ability to safely operate a Forklift is a plus
- Ability to perform driving/delivery duties via company truck
- Ensure order picking accuracy measures 100% by double-checking all orders.
- Notify the order creator of any inventory or delivery delays or problems.
- Make sure will-calls are staged within one hour.
- Ensure all products are stocked in designated locations
- Understand and follow company policies and procedures. Always operating with a safety-first standard.
- Monitor receiving to ensure incoming merchandise is received according to company procedure and stocked in assigned location.
- Ensure all customers are promptly and professionally greeted and assisted at the counter or via phone
- Accurately, completely, and promptly input customer orders into the Solar/Eclipse system by obtaining all pertinent information.
- Strive to continuously improve product, technical, and computer system knowledge.
- Perform all assigned duties safely and efficiently adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as required or requested by management.
* This position is required to have a DOT physical as part of their job assessment to perform the required duties/NO CDL requirement

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; three (3) years of warehouse-related/customer service experience.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year as a delivery driver, warehouse experience and customer service
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail; independent; self-motivated; able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment; excellent interpersonal skills; representing his/her self professionally and courteously; ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally; ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy. Proficient computer skills preferred.
