Custodian, Part-time

SUMMARY

The Custodian will provide essential cleaning and maintenance services across multiple locations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but mot limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation. This position requires flexibility, as you may travel between different sites and may be scheduled various shifts according to the needs of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Regularly sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums, and polishes floors, hallways and office spaces of assigned facilities.

•Regularly empties trash and garbage containers from classrooms, bathrooms and offices.

•Notifies facilities manager concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting and HVAC equipment

•Daily cleans debris from yards, sidewalks and driveways

•Maintains inventory and proper working order of tools, equipment, and supplies

•Maintains cleanliness, safety and orderly condition of storage areas

Requirements

SKILLS and ABILITIES

•Able to speak read and write simple sentences in English.

•Able to add and subtract 2 digits.

•Able to use common weights and measurements.

•Able to use of common sense and carry out simple instructions.

•Must be able to work in a team environment

•Must be able to On-call hours are typically scheduled in advance but may also involve short-notice shifts in response to urgent situations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

•High school education or GED equivalency, preferred

•Minimum of three (3) months experience
