Patient Services Specialist for Plastic Surgery

We are seeking a full-time Patient Services Specialist to join our Plastic Surgery clinic located in NE Portland. You will work with exceptional physicians who value their team and working together to help our patients get the best possible care.Our busy practice receives a high volume of patient appointments and calls, and we are searching for a self-starter with a friendly demeanor, great attitude, and customer-focused work ethic. The ideal candidate will have prior medical front office experience, have a strong customer service background, have the ability to multitask and be able to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced office.Primary duties include checking in patients, scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays, obtaining and completing insurance information, answering phones, and other duties as assigned.Workdays will be Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Hiring pay based on open position, experience, and credentials:Level I - $18.33- $24.81 per hour.Level II - $20.17 - $27.29 per hour.Level III - $22.18 - $30.01 per hour.Placement within levels based on specialty group, experience, additional duties.Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.Qualifications:Minimum of 1+ years of medical front office experience preferred.Excellent phone skills and customer service skills.Excellent attendance and work ethic.Excellent prior work references.Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, staff and providers.Knowledge of basic information technology, computer applications and ability to use office equipment.Additional Benefits: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) + 8 paid holidaysGenerous 401(k) retirement planFlexible Spending Account Robust Wellness ProgramsPet Insurance70% of Tri-Met pass coveredLots of discounts to local stores and activitiesThis description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements.
