Role Summary Ensure that equipment meets or exceeds customer requirements with respect to safety, quality, flexibility and throughput. Establish process parameters and procedural requirements creating checks and balances to police conformance. Develop, analyze and implement continuous improvement ideas to meet long term customer required cost reductions and maintain profitability. The scope of work includes all capital equipment and tooling for internal manufacturing systems. Key Responsibilities Know and understand aQuality and Environmental policies. Perform other duties as required. Follows and supports and "our client"'s operating principles, including: "our client" Employee Charter - Operating under its principles by treating all team members equally, fairly and with dignity and respect. Abide by BGM policies and procedures as described in the most current version of the Team Member Handbook. Everything in its place". Safety First - Obey the plant's safety rules and procedures by wearing PPE at all times and immediately addressing all safety concerns. Promotes an environment where zero injuries are the expected standard. Promote MAFACT benchmarks to achieve World Class Manufacturing. Core values - Treat all team members equally, fairly, with dignity and respect without favoritism in accordance with company values. Attend and participate in Team, Department, Plant-wide and any other meetings as required. Conduct all activities in a professional manner and positive attitude with an emphasis on personal responsibility. Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities. Establish, monitor and control timeline planning. Review, monitor and control tooling and capital budgets. Prepare presentations to engineering and management teams. Travel to customers/vendors to investigate quality concerns; tooling build process and buyoffs. Must be capable of handling projects from inception to completion. Deal with customers concerns. Prepare cycle-time analysis and/or time studies, to facilitate line balancing. Prepare reports, charts and other documentation required for engineering records and projects. Participate as required in all ISO14001 and ISO/TS16949 activities such as PFMEA and APQP incentives. Work in a safe, organized, effective, efficient and proactive manner. Assist in developing material handling logistics. Provide assistance with internal instruction of new equipment or processes. Coordinate and assist in activities for successful attainment of customer quality milestones. Assist in setting up preventative/predictive maintenance requirements. Co-ordinate all required actions to resolve quality issues. Assists in Special Material Runs requirements and Service Part requirements. Support FEC procedure with specific outline responsibilities. Provide product design direction based on part manufacturability. (This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position. Team members will be required to follow any other job related instructions or to perform other job duties requested by their leader) Key Qualifications/Requirements Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GEDPost-secondary Engineering education preferred, or related experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferredMinimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferredMinimum 1 year experience in troubleshooting, repairing and improving systems preferredOperate standard office equipment preferred These qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position. Team members will be required to possess the ability and aptitudes to perform the duties proficiently.
