Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare reports, designs, and drawings Calculate pressures, loads, and stresses and select construction materials Monitor contractor work and inspect properties Utilize CAD for simulation purposes Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, owners, contractors Design structures with common structural materials (structural steel, concrete, masonry, wood) Qualifications: Experience in Residential Structural Engineering Bachelors degree in Structural, or Architectural Engineering EIT/FE certificate with 1 year PE, preferred (must be able to attain P.E. within five years of hire) Proficiency in AutoCAD, Google Docs and MS Office (Word, Excel) Knowledge of BIM/REVIT, a plus Knowledge of at least one Finite Element Analysis program (Enercalc, STAAD, RAM, RISA, etc.). Knowledge of IBC, IRC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI-318, NDS, and ACI-530
