Sage Search Partners are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Associate (contract-to-hire with the potential to go permanent) to join our client’s team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in individual and business tax returns along with financial accounting, tax preparation, and financial report writing. As a Tax Associate, you will play a key role in analyzing individual and businesses financial data, preparing tax returns, and assisting clients with their tax-related queries.

The long-term goal for this person is to obtain their CPA and become a Partner, they have great leadership and offer great benefits including education reimbursement once becoming permanent.

Responsibilities: Analyze financial documents and reports to ensure compliance with tax regulations Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses Assist clients in understanding tax requirements and resolving tax-related issues Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Lacerte for tax preparation Collaborate with the partners and business owners to deliver high-quality service to clients Strong knowledge of IRS and regulations, various tax forms, filing requirements and deadlines

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of experience in a Tax position at a CPA firm Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Lacerte and other accounting software Experience in Tax preparation software experience with Forms 1120, 1120-S, 1065, 1041 and 1040 Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
