Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Data Analyst, you will get first-hand exposure to various data-centric career paths in Games Global. A view of the work the candidate will be engaged in within each department is given below.

Decision Intelligence: Gaming Analytics:

  • An introduction to Gaming analytics and its value in enhanced game design through measured KPIs, reports and analyses.
  • Assist team in supporting studios to answer their general data queries.
  • Identify and investigate process inefficiencies.
  • Assist team to build data pipelines, build reports and create presentations for stakeholders.
  • Complete a project using knowledge gathered throughout the rotations that will provide a value-add solution to the business.
  • Present adopted methodologies and outcomes to key stakeholders.

DataHub:

  • Assist with Master Data Management activities in Snowflake & GGL warehouses.
  • Assist with Data Product dev activities like the Global Data Platform and CIS Portal.
  • Get to know the landscape by tackling some of the DataHub service requests.

Mathematics Intelligence:

  • Introduction to the software development lifecycle from a math point of view, definition of RTP, different game types.
  • Learn about math models, and how they tie into analytics, game design, bet settings etc.
  • Buddy up on service desk to understand the type of queries that a mathematician receives.

Monitoring Solutions:

  • Introduction to the world of the RTP game monitoring process and to its importance in the business.
  • Assist with daily monitoring reports as well as investigations into suspicious game play.
  • Exposure to any ongoing projects taking place at the time.

Commercial Analytics:

  • Assist team in answering commercial queries, thereby gaining exposure to the commercial questions and environment.
  • Engage in key tasks to understand data products in financial analytics of the business, how the accuracy (QA) is measured and validated within data products and how these products are distributed to key customers.


Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Be a Graduate or Final-Year Student when applying
  • Have an average of 70 % and above in marks from first year to final year
  • Matric Mathematics score 70% and above
  • South African Citizen
  • Under the age of 35 years
  • Interest in the world of gaming
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
