Billing Specialist Morris County law firm of 50 lawyers is seeking a Billing Specialist. The position is responsible for all phases of Firm’s processing of monthly timekeeper invoices, including issuing and posting of regular and electronic invoices using SurePoint billing system and several electronic billing platforms (Tymetrix 360, Serengeti Legal Tracker, et al.). The Billing Specialist provides timely and accurate billing information to facilitate efficient processing; collaborates and supports attorneys and legal assistants in preparing. adjusting, editing, and problem-solving Firm invoices; assists with training and on-boarding of timekeepers and assistants in use of time and billing system and Firm procedures for efficient billing processes; and serves as the point person and system resource for all matters related to client billing. Position requires exceptional attention to detail; exceptional acumen with time and billing procedures and the Firm’s billing system; and excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment. Position also requires excellent customer service skills for Firm’s clients, attorneys, and staff. Candidates should have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role in a professional service environment, preferably a law firm. Experience with SurePoint highly preferred. Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
