Position Details: Profession: Physician Specialty: Gastroenterologist Default Rate Type: Hourly Start Date: 1/1/2024 End Date: Ongoing # of Providers Needed: 1 Shift Type: Varied Shift Description: Nights and weekends for call; daytime if office coverage Weekend Requirements: Weekends needed On-Call Requirements: Nights/weekend MANDATED Job Requirements: Board Certified or truly Board Eligible - Required Active PA license - Highly preferred Local - Highly preferred BLS, ACLS - Required Must have proof of COVID-19 Vaccine - Required Certification Requirements: Board Certified Board Eligible License Requirements: Pennsylvania Facility Description: A 188-bed acute care community teaching hospital serving economically fragile neighborhoods in Delaware County and Southwest Philadelphia for 85 years. The hospital is home to comprehensive heart and vascular care, cancer care, bariatrics, orthopedics, gastroenterology services, behavioral health services, and more. About the Community: Located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, the area boasts wonderful family-oriented residential communities with quick access to historic Philadelphia. Job Description: Seeking a Gastroenterologist to start as soon as credentialed, covering nights and weekends for call and daytime if office coverage. The call schedule is currently 1:3, and the practice involves a mix of office, hospital, and endoscopy suite settings. The EPIC documentation system is utilized, and the locum would work with a team of 3 physicians and 2 PAs.
