Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer/Technician

for a facility in Warre, Ohio. Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer/Technician will be responsible for providing electromagnetic compatibility/interference (EMC/EMI) and signal integrity testing of automotive components and development and support of EMC/EMI test related activities where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative are involved. Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer/Technician Responsibilities: Conduct EMC test and development programs. Design, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems to meet EMC standards. Analyze EMI/EMC issues, implementing shielding, grounding, and minimizing interference. Verify and set-up test instrumentation to conduct test programs, document test results and compile final test reports. May communicate with clients during the set up and performance of a test to demonstrate equipment test methods and/or to discuss test results. Fabricate and verify test samples/assemblies. Diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot EMC/EMI and signal integrity test configurations. Program/debug/troubleshoot automated test controller systems. Assist in the automation of EMC test systems. Maintain knowledge of proper operational procedures of all test equipment including spectrum analyzers, EMC receivers, signal/impulse generators, antennas, oscilloscopes, etc. Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer/Technician Qualifications/Skills: Two-year associate degree in an engineering discipline and/or equivalent experience required. (We will also consider candidates with a Wireless Communications experience, or Automotive Radio Frequency experience.) Working knowledge with electronic/electrical test equipment. High level of verbal and written communication skills preferred. One to three years of related experience in electromagnetic compatibility or radio frequency testing preferred. Working knowledge of radio frequency. Must have background in analog and digital circuitry.
