Essential Job Responsibilities:

PSM -Mechanical Integrity

  • Extensive knowledge in the 14 elements of Process Safety Management.
  • Establish, coordinate, and own the site mechanical integrity program.
    • Knowledgeable in all non-destructive testing techniques.
    • Familiar with pressure vessel code repair procedures.
    • Experience with solvent processing.
Reliability - Analyze breakdowns to determine root cause.
  • Proven ability to analyze mean time between failure rates and recommend predictive maintenance practices.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance team to develop data driven maintenance PM /PD routines.
Troubleshooting - Assist the Maintenance team in troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate new equipment or substitute equipment.
  • Following MOC, approve deviations from standard equipment and parts.
  • Assist in finding emergency replacement parts or equipment.
  • Teach, mentor, and communicate with mechanics, operators, and electrical technicians.
Utilities - Provide a Technical source on Boiler Operation and Optimization.
  • Support utility areas with improved on-line time and optimization projects.
  • Support efforts to reduce our energy footprint, water usage, and air emissions.
Rotating Equipment - Sizing, specifying, installing, and maintaining
  • Extensive experience with Pumps, Seals, Compressors, Centrifuges, and Agitators.
  • Familiar with vibration analysis and alignment techniques.
Electrical - Support the I&E group.
  • Candidate must have a good background in electrical work.
  • Read ladder logic, one-line drawings, and instrument loop drawings.
Project Management - Support Maintenance related Projects.
  • Manage (Design, Purchase, Install/KJS) multiple capital/expense projects related to equipment, maintenance, and utilities.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, and able to update field marked up drawings.
  • Maintain and update maintenance and equipment files.
  • Assist in annual shutdown planning. Initiate and complete Maintenance related ECO's (Engineering Change Orders).
CMMS - Administer site Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Enter new equipment, Bill of Materials, Parts, and PM's.
  • Monitor work orders, parts, and maintenance department costs.
  • Update CMMS equipment database, as required.
Food Industry Experience - Standards surrounding food safety.
  • Familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices.
  • Lead initiatives which impact the Maintenance team. Initiatives (projects) may include safety procedures, addressing audit recommendations, and reviewing maintenance procedures to ensure food safety.
Education/Experience:

Required:
  • S. Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical)

  • 5-10 Years of integrated plant experience
  • Strong maintenance background and skills
  • Process Safety Management (Mechanical Integrity) experience.
