Job Summary:

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services to fulfill the company's operational needs. Key responsibilities include:
  • Issuing purchase orders;
  • Acquiring materials from suppliers at the lowest cost, while considering quality, reliability, and urgency;
  • Supporting and expediting deliveries and shipments as required;
  • Following up on payments according to purchase order terms, in coordination with relevant departments.
Job Duties:
  • Review requisitions and process Purchase Orders in SAP to procure materials and services at the most favorable price, ensuring they meet requirements for quantity, quality, safety, and delivery.
  • Resolve various purchasing issues for both internal and external customers (e.g., unblock invoices to secure vendor payments, provide expediting services, address disputes over "out of scope" changes).
  • Ensure timely delivery of purchased items to support Business Unit needs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
