**Job Description**

**AECOM** is seeking **Civil Engineer** to be based in **Glen Allen, Virginia.**

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

+ Provide technical design for a variety of civil engineering projects (design topics include roadway, drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and traffic analysis)

+ Prepare plans and drawings using VDOT, FHWA, and AASHTO standards

+ Supports project managers in execution of all types of civil engineering projects

+ Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered during the design process

+ Coordinate with other disciplines and technical staff across the company

+ Participates in quality control reviews of project deliverables (calculations and drawings)

+ Develops construction cost estimates for projects

**Qualifications**

Minimum Requirements:

+ BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Requirements:

+ Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)/Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification

+ Experience utilizing Microstation and Bentley OpenRoads software

+ Experience with roadway/drainage/traffic projects for state transportation departments (i.e., VDOT) or localities

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong work ethic and professional demeanor

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is 61000 to 100000.
