Role Overview As a Data Architect for Slalom, you will work in small, collaborative teams with minimal oversight and direction to design and deliver innovative solutions on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform using core cloud data warehouse tools, distributed processing engines, event streaming platforms, and other modern data technologies. In addition to building the next generation of data platforms, you will be working with some of the most forward?thinking organizations in data and analytics. You will typically be responsible for understanding the clients current environment and technical challenges as well as their plans for evolving or creating their future state architecture. Using that knowledge, your personal experiences, architecture expertise, and your ability to facilitate working design sessions with Slalom and client technical teams, you will lead the analysis, architecture, design, and development of your clients next generation Data Platform Solution. You will leverage your communication skills to effectively describe the pros and cons of your solution design and drive the combined Slalom and client team to consensus. You are experienced at breaking down complex development tasks and will be responsible for the timely quality completion of development items, ensuring that they support the Technical Solution you designed. As time allows, you will participate in pre?sales activities including helping define an approach to solving a prospects technical challenges and helping the business development team estimate and plan projects to address those challenges. You will work in a hybrid environment, with expectation to be in?person with Slalom teams and clients as needed. You also must be within commutable distance to Slaloms Seattle office location. What Youll Bring As a Data Architect in the Data Engineering discipline, you will bring a broad experience in architecture design, a deep expertise in one or more data engineering technologies and a curious mindset to your clients engagement, a thirst for knowledge, and a hunger for fearless experimentation in new and interesting ways to meet our clients most pressing data challenges. You are a self?starter, effective in breaking down large problems into smaller ones, and regularly share what you learn with others within your projects and in the broader Slalom Build community. Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, were targeting to hire at the Sr. Consultant or Principal level. The base salary pay range is $136,500 - $169,500 for Sr. Consultant, $151,000 - $187,500 for Principal, dependent on candidate experience. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individuals skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
