Position Summary:

As a Quality Engineer at our company, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products and services consistently meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. Working closely with various stakeholders including engineers, supervisors, managers, production personnel, suppliers, and customers, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product quality. This role involves implementing effective quality controls, designing automated testing systems, and leading quality assurance efforts through lean methodologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the companys quality inspection and product release programs.
  • Conduct visual and/or cosmetic inspections of products using appropriate procedures.
  • Utilize quality tools for process improvement, data analysis, and trend identification.
  • Serve as a liaison with customers to address quality complaints and requirements.
  • Develop inspection criteria and gauge requirements based on customer needs.
  • Monitor production processes for adherence to quality standards.
  • Participate in pre- and post-production launch reviews.
  • Perform quality reviews, internal audits, and document change requests.
  • Support cross-functional teams in resolving production and quality issues.
  • Reinforce safety expectations and report any safety concerns.
  • Adhere to Quality Management Systems (QMS) procedures and compliance standards.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree required.
  • Any Quality Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience with ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement & Kaizen projects.
  • Familiarity with AIAG core tools.
  • Experience working with suppliers and conducting audits.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and CAD inspection reports.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, E2, Plex).
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols preferred.
  • Knowledge of tooling & molding, GD&T, running a CMM, and SolidWorks is a plus.

Work Environment:

This role involves working in both office and manufacturing environments. While performing the duties of this job, employees may be exposed to various hazards associated with a manufacturing environment, including moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, and risks of shock. Safety protocols and PPE must be adhered to at all times.
