Salary Range: $70,000 to $125,000 based on experience

Job Description: As a Civil Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction phase, ensuring accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of civil engineering projects. Leveraging your expertise in civil engineering and construction, you will collaborate closely with our project management and engineering teams to analyze project specifications, assess site conditions, and develop comprehensive cost estimates.

Project Focus: FOUNDATION PILES, ALL TYPES OF MARINE WORK, PIER WORK,BRIDGE WORK, SEAWALLS, STEEL SHEETING, SOE, EXCAVATION, FOUNDATION CONCRETE, WATERROOFING, SUPERSTRUCTURE CONCRETE.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough analysis of project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine scope of work, materials, and labor requirements.
• Utilizing industry-standard estimating software and tools to generate accurate quantity takeoffs and cost projections.
• Researching and sourcing materials, subcontractor services, and equipment rentals to inform pricing strategies.
• Collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive bids and negotiate pricing agreements.
• Developing detailed cost breakdowns, bid proposals, and project schedules in alignment with client requirements and budget constraints.
• Presenting and defending estimates to clients, addressing inquiries, and providing clarification on pricing components.
• Monitoring project costs throughout the construction phase, identifying variances, and implementing cost-saving measures as necessary.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and regulatory requirements to inform estimating practices and enhance competitiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil estimating within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on marine construction, foundation piling, or excavation support.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, Planswift, or HCSS.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in estimating processes.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
