Vaco Boston has partnered with our client to help fill a Senior Accountant role.

Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day general accounting activities: journal entries, account reconciliations, to ensure compliance with established accounting policies, practices and procedures

Prepare the month-end closing activities such as preparing and reviewing reconciliations and journal entries related to cash, prepaid expenses, payroll, accrued expenses, and other areas

Maintain account reconciliations and related schedules

Conduct financial analysis of various balance sheet and income statement accounts to support business

Provide guidance and support to finance team including; financial information and understanding of accounting policies and procedures

Perform monthly consolidation including intercompany and eliminating entries

Develop and implement accounting procedures by evaluating current procedures and recommend changes as the team and company scale.

Support the schedules for external auditors for annual audits

Participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

:

Must have a BS degree in Accounting,

Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to research accounting guidance and interpret the guidance to apply to various business transactions

Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills

Experience with Great Plains and Oracle Adaptative Insights systems is preferred, but not required
