Description

ActioNet has an opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer, located in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.. The candidate must have an Active Secret clearance. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense. The ideal candidate will have experience leading complex engineering projects for large DoD telecom infrastructure modernization efforts.

Target Salary $120K-150k

As the Cybersecurity Engineer, you will spearhead the technical design and implementation of our telecom modernization project. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of the system by providing technical leadership, architecture design, and engineering oversight. Your responsibilities will include conducting requirements analysis, leading site surveys, developing detailed designs, and overseeing the implementation. Additionally, you will work closely with the project team to ensure the system meets all performance and reliability requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • In-depth knowledge of DoD network security protocols and compliance requirements (e.g., DISA STIGs, RMF)
  • Proficiency in software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV)
  • Experience with wireless 802.11 network technologies and UC environments
  • Specific skills related to RMF implementation, security control assessment, DOD cybersecurity standards compliance, ATO documentation preparation, and security architecture review
  • Network security, threat analysis, incident response
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as 5G, SD-WAN, and zero trust network architecture
Basic Qualifications:
  • 7+ years and specified DOD cybersecurity experience, including familiarity with ATO processes.
  • CAP certification which is relevant for ATO processes, and specified DOD 8570 IAM Level III to ensure compliance with DOD requirements.
  • Knowledge of IP networking, routing/switching, and network security principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, and MS Project.
  • Active Secret clearance is required.
