Our team in Owatonna, MN is seeking an (EHS) Environmental Health and Safety Coordinatorwho will support the achievement of environmental, health and safety goals across Wenger Corporation. The EHS Coordinator will promote and implement a variety of activities, programs, policies and follow-up audits in areas including safety, industrial hygiene, emergency response and environmental compliance.
At a minimum you'll need:
- Associates Degree or higher in relevant field; or experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Two (2) years direct experience in Occupational Safety Health and Environmental
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Bachelors degree in Safety, Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree, or currently pursuing a degree or higher level coursework in these areas
- Knowledge of Lean and/or Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Developing, implementing and administering safety policies, programs, training and metrics to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), federal, state, local and corporate Health and Safety requirements
- Participating in and /or leading meetings, events, projects and action items as an active member of the Safety Committee, incident reviews, safety audits and risk assessments
- Administering data and documentation related to Environmental Health & Safety programs
- Submitting reporting documentation to external agencies in a timely manner
- Acting as a safety mentor and providing technical support to guide team members to resolve safety concerns
- Conducting ergonomic assessments of industrial workstations and tools and making recommendations for corrective action
- Identifying and making recommendations for safety improvements across the organization
- Maintaining current knowledge of applicable federal, local, state, and corporate EHS regulations and requirements
