V Venesco, LLC has an upcoming need for multiple Family Medicine Physicians at Fayetteville Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center. Family Physicians personnel shall be responsible for providing Family Practice and interventional Family Practice consultative services for: assessment, diagnostic work-up and clinic intervention, including comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, and patient education to Veterans in the Primary Care team setting; outpatient include both scheduled and unscheduled Veterans. Order and evaluate diagnostic tests as appropriate, recommend treatment and/or referral. Record/document health appraisal information, clinical assessments, treatment decision, plan of care, ongoing management and therapeutic outcomes, order medications, diagnostic test and referral consultations where needed for every patient encounter; recording will be accomplished using the electronic comprehensive patient record system (CPRS) and will be completed on the day of the encounter. These are full time positions. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Competitive compensation offered including a comprehensive benefits planDuties include:Direct Patient Care: estimated 95% of the time involved in direct patient care.Contractors shall be responsible for clinic appointments and follow-up oflabs/imaging/procedures ordered during these appointments, interpretation, phonecall consultation from hospitalists and intensivists on inpatients, and availability forcase review with nurse practitioners on service.Contract personnel shall be responsible for providing FamilyPractice and interventional Family Practice consultative services for:assessment, diagnostic work-up and clinic intervention, includingcomprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, andpatient education to Veterans in the Primary Care team setting; outpatientinclude both scheduled and unscheduled Veterans. No sample medications shall be provided to patients.Discharge education: Provide discharge education and follow up instructionsthat are coordinated with the next care setting for all emergency departmentpatients.ADMINISTRATIVE: estimated 5% of time not involved in direct patientcare section meetings, participation in once to twice monthly peer review casereview, Ongoing Providers Performance Evaluation (OPPE) participation, andmorbidity & mortality conferences as appropriate.Quality Improvement Meetings: Contract personnel shall participatein continuous quality improvement activities and meetings with committee participation as required by the facility Chief of Service,Chief of Staff, or designee.RequirementsLicense: Shall have a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property. Board Certification: Shall be Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician Services by the American Board of Family Practice and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency. All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times. Technical Proficiency: Contractor's physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government's requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently. Continuing Medical Education (CME)/ Certified Education Unit (CEU) Requirements: Contractor shall provide the COR copies of current CMEs as required or requested by the facility. Physician shall continue to meet the minimum standards for CME to remain current. Training (ACLS, BLS, EHR and VA MANDATORY): Contractor shall meet all VA educational requirements and mandatory course requirements defined herein; all training must be completed by the contractor's physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, as required by the VA.
