About the team
The Conduent Government Healthcare Solutions (GHS) teams help government agencies leverage data, technology, and business services to achieve public sector transformation and better serve constituents. We offer solutions for Medicaid payments, healthcare, pharmacy benefits management (PBM) and claims processing.
About the role
The Business Subject Matter Expert Medicaid Specialty Services (remote) is a business development role that builds strong customer value propositions into our solutions and proposals for services and products. This role focuses on the specialty services that support Medicaid including; disease surveillance programs; health and community based services; long term support services; data management and analytics (EDW/MDW, data lakes, DAR), FHIR interoperability and/or other specialty services for Medicaid Management Information Systems or Modules.
The Business Subject Matter Expert Medicaid Specialty Services is the key representative of product knowledge and business services. The SME will work with business teams in the collaborative development of comprehensive solutions focusing on Specialty Services. The individual regularly interfaces with clients, technology, business service and proposal development teams. Efforts span the entire business capture and proposal lifecycle including, initial client calls, solutions/product demonstrations and providing of well written responses to RFPs and RFIs.
Responsibilities
- Provides subject matter expertise for a variety of Medicaid Specialty Services operations and product functionality to internal pursuit teams in key functions such as federal and state Medicaid regulations for specialty service programs; disease surveillance programs; health and community-based services; long term support services; data management and analytics (EDW/MDW, data lakes), FHIR/interoperability and/or other specialty services for Medicaid Management Information Systems.
- Works with solution architecture and pursuit teams to define operational service and product functionality solutions for new business opportunities.
- Represents the products and services to external and internal teams
- Validates operational service and product functionality solution in written narrative and oral presentations to assure solution adherence and compliance with client requirements.
- Develops and delivers compelling and complete product demonstrations for end clients and internal associates. Creates outlines, collateral, and talking points to maximize presentation effectiveness.
- Trains and coaches internal associates to expand their knowledge of Specialty Services to meet overall team objective to deliver compelling, compliant, and complete solutions in proposal narrative and presentations.
- Defines strategies for prioritizing and sharing information from technical and business SMEs to the broader pursuit teams
- Creates, reviews, edits written narrative and oral presentations.
- Provides sales/marketing support by collaborating with account managers and sales teams to position Specialty Service products as value-adding, problem-solving, cost-mitigating solutions that meet regulatory requirements.
- Accurately translates technical knowledge and requirements into clear and concise communications that emphasize business value to clients.
- Expertly interprets current business needs and capabilities and translates them into marketplace opportunities.
- Communicate effectively (oral and written) in all aspects of the role
- Understands Specialty Service current and emerging technologies, and the practical/potential application of these technologies to current and future operating models
- Able to influence a team of diverse stakeholders
Requirements
- Advanced subject matter expertise in Specialty Services systems, services, and operations in two or more of the following key areas:
- Disease Surveillance programs
- Health and community-based services/long term support services
- Data management and analytics (EDW/MDW and data lakes) and/or FIHR interoperability
- Other specialty services for Medicaid Management Information Systems or Modules
- 10+ years experience in specialty service delivery/operations, product management, implementations, account management, or similar
- 5+ years experience in customer-facing delivery/operations, product management, implementations, account management, sales, or similar
- Prior experience with proposals and related business development functions
- Highly proficient writer and editor of proposal and presentation content
- Expert oral and written communication
- Proficient using SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams
- Education: Bachelors or equivalent professional experience
- Able to travel up to 50%
