Direct Hire Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Location: Willoughby, OH Pay: $38/hr Shift: 2nd (3pm to 11pm Monday - Friday) Job Description This position involves providing mechanical repair and maintenance services for machinery, equipment, and infrastructure across the plant using a variety of tools and techniques. The role requires performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting in a diverse plant environment. The focus will be on the installation, repair, and maintenance of building equipment, production machinery, and HVAC systems. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment. Engage hands-on in installation, repair, and maintenance of building equipment, production machinery, and HVAC systems. Execute tasks related to construction trades, including pipe fitting, welding, millwright work, carpentry, sheet metal, rigging, refractory brick, and plumbing. Demonstrate knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Understand and adhere to safety protocols while demonstrating basic electrical skills. Operate lathe and milling machines for crafting or modifying machine components. Design, construct, maintain, and repair mechanical systems such as pumps, boilers, and furnaces. Undertake fabrication and assembly work using hand and machine tools. Interpret and work from sketches, patterns, blueprints, and conceptual designs. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Provide guidance and training to fellow employees. Manage supplies and inventories, including ordering materials and coordinating with vendors. Operate material handling equipment with precision and safety. Adhere to safe work practices and perform additional tasks as required. Essential Skills 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment. Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience in welding and fabrication. Proficiency in reading advanced blueprints. Experience with troubleshooting and installing heavy industrial equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Pipe fitting experience.
