Job Title: Licensed Therapist - Adult Recovery Services

(Substance Use Disorders Counselor)

Location: Independence, Missouri (Kansas City area)

Job Summary:

Join our team at Burrell / Comprehensive as a Licensed Therapist in our Adult Recovery Services program

As a Licensed Therapist, you'll provide individual counseling, group counseling, group education, assessments, codependency counseling, family counseling, and interventions. You'll collaborate with case workers as needed to meet client needs beyond individual and group services. Our ideal candidate is passionate about addiction treatment, has experience in counseling and group facilitation, and strong clinical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide individual counseling, group counseling, group education, assessments, codependency counseling, family counseling, and interventions

+ Collaborate with case workers as needed to meet client needs beyond individual and group services

+ May participate in community events, media, and committees as necessary

+ Coordinate referrals to more intensive services if needed

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

+ Master's degree in a Human Services field

+ Provisionally or fully licensed as: LMSW, PLPC, LPC, LCSW, PLP, or LP in the state of Missouri
